A Celebration of Community and Culture
CARENCRO, LA — Each Wednesday evening from September 3 to October 15, 2025, Pelican Park in Carencro came alive with the joyful sounds of music and community. The Mercredi Show – Fall 2025 Concert Series, presented by Carpet Mills Outlet, brought together families and friends for a season of celebration featuring local and regional artists performing Cajun, Zydeco, Swamp Pop, Country, and more. As laughter echoed and children danced under the Louisiana sunset, this long-standing tradition reminded all who attended of the beauty of fellowship and shared joy.
Faith Reflected Through Music and Togetherness
The Mercredi Show has long been more than just a concert — it’s a symbol of unity and gratitude within the heart of Carencro. Each performance radiated the spirit of Psalm 95:1 — “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.” From Don Rich’s Swamp Pop rhythms to the Cajun energy of Keke Bourque and the Stone-Cold Cajuns, each artist reflected the diversity and harmony that thrive when a community gathers in the spirit of love and thanksgiving.
A Legacy of Joy and Gratitude
Through the Friend of Mercredi sponsorship program, locals continue to support this cherished event, ensuring that future generations can experience the same joy. As residents brought their lawn chairs and hearts full of gratitude, the festival became a living testimony to Philippians 4:4 — “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!”
A Prayer for the Community
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of music and community. Bless the city of Carencro, its leaders, musicians, and families. May every note played and every friendship formed reflect Your love and light. Continue to unite this community in joy, peace, and faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
