LAFAYETTE, LOUISIANA — Excitement is building across Acadiana as popular Texas-based travel center operator Buc-ee’s prepares to break ground on its highly anticipated Lafayette, Louisiana, location on November 9. The announcement represents another major development for the region, bringing the possibility of new employment opportunities, increased tourism, and additional economic activity to South Louisiana.
The proposed 74,000-square-foot travel center is expected to become a major destination for residents and travelers passing through the Lafayette area. With an anticipated opening in 2028, the project is part of the company’s continued expansion across the United States.

One of the most notable aspects of the proposed Lafayette development is its expected 120 fueling positions, reflecting the large-scale design that has become common at newer Buc-ee’s locations.
