Carencro, Louisiana, recently celebrated one of its own, NFL champion Kevin Faulk, by unveiling a new welcome sign that honors his legacy. Faulk, a three-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, is a hometown hero who has always represented Carencro with pride. “This tribute to Kevin is so well-deserved,” said Carencro Mayor Charlotte Clavier. “He is a great guy and has always supported his hometown.” The sign, which features interchangeable faces, serves as a lasting reminder of Faulk’s impact both on and off the field.

Kevin Faulk was visibly moved when he first saw the sign. “The mayor texted me. She sent me a picture of the sign. I was like, Wow,” Faulk shared. “The first thing I did was text it in our family group text message.” His deep love for his hometown is evident. “If you know me, you know how much I loved Carencro,” Faulk continued. “It means the world for people to just understand that’s where I’m from and that’s where I still live.” This humility mirrors the spirit of 1 Peter 5:5, “Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’” Faulk’s down-to-earth nature and gratitude for the honor reflect a true servant leader.
