LOUISIANA AUTO INSURANCE RATES DROP, FAMILIES TO SEE RELIEF

BATON ROUGE, LA — In a promising development for Louisiana families, Gov. Jeff Landry announced that 20 auto insurers have filed for rate reductions following recent insurance reforms. Among those reporting decreases are Allstate with an 8.1% drop, State Farm with 3.9%, and Liberty Mutual with 5%. Other insurers, including Hugo Insurance and Go Auto, reported cuts of 13.6% and 9.92%, respectively.

REFORMS AIM TO PROTECT FAMILIES
The governor emphasized that these reforms were designed to curb frivolous lawsuits and empower the state insurance department to reject excessive rates. “Not five, not 10, or 15, but 20 insurance companies have filed rate reductions since the start of the year,” Landry said. “This proves that our plan is working.” Proverbs 11:1 reminds us, “The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him,” highlighting the importance of fairness and justice in governance.
