C’EST BON SEASONING FEST SETS THE TABLE FOR CARENCRO, LA — OCT 31–NOV 2

CAST NEWS | FAITH & COMMUNITY

CARENCRO, LOUISIANA — From Thursday, October 31 through Saturday, November 2, the C’EST BON Seasoning Fest will gather families, food artisans, church groups, and small businesses to celebrate the rich flavors and fellowship that define Carencro and all of Acadiana. The C’est Bon Seasoning Festival is a nonprofit event in Carencro, Louisiana, that celebrates the rich culinary culture of South Louisiana. It features live music, food, and drinks, along with a seasoning taste-off, a carnival, and arts and crafts vendors. The festival aims to bring the community together and showcase local flavors, history, and traditions through various activities. In a season when communities crave connection, this festival offers more than good food—it offers a good word. “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” (Psalm 34:8)

WHY THIS FESTIVAL MATTERS TO CARENCRO

Carencro’s story is one of faith, hard work, and neighborly care. C’EST BON highlights that identity by putting local vendors, local artist performers, and church volunteers at the center. The event strengthens the town’s small-business economy, draws visitors to Carencro’s Pelican Park , and creates a safe gathering place for families. When we buy local, serve together, and welcome guests, we fulfill Scripture’s call to community generosity: “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:25)

SALT, LIGHT, AND LOUISIANA FLAVOR
Seasoning is more than spice—it’s symbol. Jesus called His people the “salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13). As booths brim with Cajun blends, smoked meats, and garden-fresh produce, CEST BON becomes a living parable: faith that seasons culture with grace, excellence, and joy. Choirs and youth groups can lift songs of praise; local ministries can share prayer and practical help; and every handshake can carry the warmth of Christ. “Whatever you do…do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.” (Colossians 3:17)

WHAT TO EXPECT
Across three days, attendees can expect live music, cooking demos, family zones, and vendor rows spotlighting regional makers. Churches and civic groups will host hospitality tents, student clubs will fundraise with baked goods and crafts, and elders will pass on stories of Carencro’s heritage. It’s the perfect moment to invite neighbors, encourage the lonely, and showcase the heart of Acadiana: faith-filled, hard-working, and joyfully united.

A CALL TO UNITY AND SERVICE
Let this festival be our “yes” to serving one another: “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” (Romans 12:10) Volunteer with a church booth, sponsor a youth performer, and support local entrepreneurs. When the Body of Christ offers both prayer and practical help, the whole city is blessed. “Use whatever gift you have received to serve others.” (1 Peter 4:10)

PRAYER FOR CARENCRO
Lord Jesus, bless Carencro and every hand preparing CEST BON. Protect attendees, prosper our local vendors, and unite our churches in service. Season our words with grace, our work with excellence, and our city with peace. May visitors taste our food and also taste Your goodness. Amen.
