Both Acadiana quarterbacks stand out in Rams’ road rout of Sulphur

Rising from Early Challenges
SULPHUR, La. — The Acadiana Wreckin’ Rams delivered a commanding 63-0 victory over Sulphur on Friday night, marking not just a triumph on the scoreboard but a spiritual and emotional turning point for a team that began the season facing trials. Under first-year head coach Doug Dotson, the Rams have found renewed purpose, reflecting the biblical truth of perseverance: “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).

Faith in Each Other and the Process
Dotson’s leadership has ushered in a new system — a two-quarterback rotation with senior Ty Lamartina and junior Collin DiBetta — both of whom shined on the field with electrifying touchdown runs. Their teamwork echoes Ecclesiastes 4:9, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.” Lamartina’s humility and DiBetta’s respect for his teammate exemplify Christ-like leadership and unity. Each player has embraced his role, not seeking personal glory but striving for the good of the team — a powerful reminder that success comes through cooperation and selflessness.

A Team Transformed by Resilience
After a tough 0-3 start, the Rams’ renewed focus has led to back-to-back victories, proving that perseverance produces character and hope (Romans 5:3-4). With the addition of senior transfer Travis Gallien, the offense gained another blessing, as he used his God-given gifts to strengthen the team. Coach Dotson’s words — “It’s about us” — echo the truth that unity and hard work glorify God when done with the right heart.

A Prayer for the Team and Community
Heavenly Father, thank You for the spirit of teamwork, humility, and perseverance You’ve placed within these young athletes. Bless Coach Dotson and the Acadiana Rams as they continue to grow in faith and character. May every game reflect Your glory, and may this season inspire others to press on with courage and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
