A Day of Skill, Service, and Stewardship
LAFAYETTE, LA — On October 10, 2025, participants gathered at the Wilderness Gun Club for Clay Classic 2025, one of Lagcoe’s signature events dedicated to supporting education and workforce development in the energy industry. Beginning at 8:00 a.m., attendees enjoyed a full day of sporting clay competition, delicious local food, and camaraderie — all for a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the event directly fund scholarships, training, and opportunities for Future Energy Professionals, helping to equip the next generation of workers with the tools they need to make a lasting impact.
Faith in Action: Building the Future Through Service
More than just a sporting event, the Clay Classic embodied the biblical principle found in Colossians 3:23 — “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” Participants and volunteers alike demonstrated that faith and hard work can unite for a higher purpose. The energy and resource industries often serve as pillars in local economies, and through this event, Lagcoe emphasized not only professional growth but also community service and stewardship — values that reflect God’s call to use our talents to uplift others.
A Legacy of Generosity and Hope
As clay targets flew through the clear Lafayette sky, so did the spirit of fellowship and giving. Each shot fired represented not just competition but contribution — a commitment to shaping a better future. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” The Clay Classic exemplified this truth, showing how faith and community partnership can build a legacy of opportunity and hope.
A Prayer for the Community
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the unity and generosity shown through the Clay Classic. Bless every participant, volunteer, and student who benefits from this event. May their work glorify You and continue to bring light and opportunity to our community. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
