One Acadiana Events: Dave & Buster’s, Rock ‘N’ Bowl and More

ACADIANA BUSINESS LEADERS GATHER WITH PURPOSE AND FAITH

ACADIANA, La. — One Acadiana, the regional economic development organization serving nine parishes across Acadiana, is preparing to host a series of February events aimed at strengthening relationships, encouraging collaboration, and shaping the future of the region. From networking socials to policy discussions, these gatherings reflect not only professional engagement but also a deeper calling to steward community resources wisely. Scripture reminds believers, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans” (Proverbs 16:3).

CHAMBER CONNECTIONS: BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS AFTER HOURS

The first event, Chamber Connections: Member and Investor Social, will take place on Wednesday, February 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dave & Buster’s in Lafayette. Designed as a relaxed, after-hours gathering, the event invites One Acadiana members, investors, partners, and staff to connect in a welcoming environment. Unlimited gameplay, light bites, and beverages are included. The Bible emphasizes the importance of fellowship, noting, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor” (Ecclesiastes 4:9). This event offers space for meaningful conversations that can spark growth across Acadiana.

MEMBER MEETUP: COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS AT CAMELLIA GROVE

On Friday, February 20, from 12 to 1 p.m., One Acadiana will host a Member Meetup at Camellia Grove Townhomes in Lafayette. This new event series provides a convenient and casual way for professionals to strengthen relationships while spotlighting local businesses. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the townhomes and view floor plans, while building connections rooted in mutual support. Hebrews 10:24 encourages believers to “consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,” a principle reflected in these intentional gatherings.

LEGISLATIVE OUTLOOK: SEEKING WISDOM FOR THE FUTURE

The month concludes with the 2026 Legislative Outlook on Wednesday, February 25, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Rock ‘n’ Bowl de Lafayette. This event will feature Will Green, president and CEO of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, alongside Dr. Steven Procopio, president of the Public Affairs Research Council. Discussions will focus on business-focused policies, upcoming legislative priorities, and five constitutional amendments slated for the May 16 ballot. Proverbs 15:22 teaches, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed,” underscoring the value of informed dialogue.

FAITH, LEADERSHIP, AND REGIONAL STEWARDSHIP

One Acadiana’s February events reflect a commitment to connection, informed leadership, and shared responsibility for Acadiana’s future. Proudly presented by Catalyst Bank and supported by Michele Ezell, Realtor, the Legislative Outlook highlights the importance of civic engagement guided by wisdom and integrity. As believers in business and leadership roles gather, they are reminded that their work can glorify God and bless their communities (Colossians 3:23).

A PRAYER FOR ACADIANA

Heavenly Father,
We lift up the Acadiana region and all those who gather to lead, serve, and build our communities. Grant wisdom to business leaders, policymakers, and citizens as they make decisions that affect families and futures. Help these connections be rooted in integrity, compassion, and unity. Bless the work of One Acadiana, and may all efforts honor You and bring lasting good to our region. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
