Helix Artificial Intelligence & Medical Academy (Helix AIM) is thrilled to announce the launch of their new website, providing parents with the opportunity to enroll their children and stay informed with the latest updates. Helix AIM is set to open its doors in St. Landry Parish in 2025, offering innovative education for students from kindergarten through 5th grade.
Designed to meet the future demands of technology and the medical industries, Helix AIM’s curriculum will focus on artificial intelligence, medical studies, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) subjects. The school will incorporate project-based learning and leadership development, ensuring students are well-prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.
Part of the Helix Community Schools network, a Baton Rouge-based organization, Helix AIM joins other specialized institutions such as Helix Mentorship STEAM Academy, Helix Aviation Academy, and Helix Legal Academy. These schools are dedicated to providing students with diverse academic choices and pathways in STEAM professions, as well as in aviation and legal careers.
The new academy will be located just off I-49 in Opelousas, transforming a 25-acre property beside Our Savior’s Church into a hub of educational and economic growth for St. Landry Parish. This location will allow Helix AIM to collaborate with local medical facilities, offering students invaluable hands-on experiences.
Preston Castille, president of Helix AIM, underscores the significance of A.I. education. “We believe A.I. will significantly impact not only Acadiana but the world. We want our students to be prepared for future challenges,” Castille remarked.
Bill Rodier of St. Landry Economic Development highlights the broader benefits of the new academy. He notes that Helix AIM will not only create new educational opportunities for local students but also contribute to the region’s burgeoning economy.
