“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; establish the work of our hands for us.” – Psalm 90:17 (ESV)
The Carencro Business Association proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of the Carencro Police Department following their recognition at last night’s City Council meeting. Jim Craft, Executive Director of the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement, presented Chief David Anderson and his department with a Certificate of Completion for LIBRS—the Louisiana Incident Based Reporting System.

This certification is no small feat. Departments must submit 12 qualifying reports, each earning 90% or higher. The Carencro Police Department exceeded expectations with:
- 5 reports at 100%
- 1 at 98%
- 1 at 97%
- 3 at 96%
- 1 at 95%
- 1 at 90%
Their consistent accuracy and dedication to transparent law enforcement is a testament to the department’s leadership, training, and commitment to community safety.
A Community Worth Celebrating
As Carencro continues to grow, both in business and population, it’s vital to have reliable, data-driven policing. This accomplishment is a shining example of what integrity and professionalism look like in public service.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” – Colossians 3:23 (NIV)
A Prayer for Our Protectors
Lord, we thank You for the diligent service of our Carencro Police Department. Bless their work, protect their steps, and continue to strengthen the bonds between law enforcement and our community. May Your wisdom guide them, and may Your peace reign in our city. Amen.
