Daily Devotional — “When Life Feels Heavy”
Life can often feel heavy — burdens of responsibility, guilt, worry, or the weight of our own mistakes. Sometimes we reach a point where we can’t carry it anymore, and our hearts whisper, “It’s too much.” David knew that feeling. He wrote, “When we were overwhelmed by sins…” — when life pressed down, when the soul was weary. Yet even then, God’s response wasn’t rejection; it was forgiveness.
God meets us in our heaviness with mercy. He doesn’t leave us stuck under the weight; He lifts it by drawing us near. He chooses us, not because we are perfect, but because He is full of love. In His presence, the burden lifts, and our hearts find rest.
When life feels too heavy, remember: you don’t have to carry it alone. God invites you into His courts — into His peace — where you’ll be filled with the goodness of His house.
🙏 Prayer: Lord, when life feels heavy and I am overwhelmed, remind me of Your forgiveness and love. Draw me close to You and fill me with the peace that only Your presence can give.
