The Power of Honest Grace

“Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone… For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” — Matthew 18:15–20 (KJV)

Daily Devotional – “For where two or three are gatheredp together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Healing God’s Way

Conflict is a part of life—even among those who love God. Jesus doesn’t pretend we’ll always agree or always speak kindly. Instead, He shows us how to respond when hurt happens. His instruction is simple, but not always easy: go to the person privately. Not to accuse, but to share. Not to shame, but to heal.

Protecting the Relationship

This approach protects the relationship. It avoids gossip. It gives space for understanding. Many wounds would heal sooner if we would choose conversation over silence, prayer over pride, and grace over assumptions. Jesus knows that unity takes effort—and He calls us to be peacemakers, not peacekeepers.

Christ Is Present in the Process

Jesus also shows that reconciliation is not something we do alone. If more help is needed, we involve others gently. And through it all, He promises His presence. When people gather with a heart to seek peace, He steps in. Where pride divides, Christ unifies. Where hurt lingers, He restores.

Prayer:

Lord, teach me to handle relationships with wisdom and grace. Help me to speak with love, listen with humility, and pursue peace. Let Your presence guide every difficult conversation. Amen.
