LAFAYETTE, La. — Country music fans across Acadiana will have an opportunity to experience an evening of music, storytelling, and acoustic performance when multi-platinum country artist Aaron Lewis brings his Acoustic Origins Tour to the CAJUNDOME on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
Known as the frontman of the rock band Staind and for his successful solo country career, Lewis is taking a more intimate approach on his latest tour. Rather than relying on a large production, the Acoustic Origins performances center on Lewis, his acoustic guitar, and the stories behind songs that have connected with audiences throughout his career.
A Tour Built Around Music and Storytelling
Lewis will begin the 12-date tour November 4 in Lubbock, Texas, before traveling through cities including Pueblo, Cheyenne, Rapid City, Memphis, Macon, Knoxville, Mobile, Beaumont, Lafayette, and Bossier City. The tour concludes November 21 in Quapaw, Oklahoma.
The acoustic format gives audiences an opportunity to hear familiar songs in a stripped-down setting while learning more about the experiences and inspiration behind them. Storytelling has long been an important part of music, allowing artists to communicate emotions and experiences that might otherwise remain difficult to express.
Ecclesiastes 3:4 reminds us that there is “a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.” Music can accompany people through many of those seasons, providing moments of reflection, celebration, and shared experience.
From Rock Stages to Country Music
Lewis first became widely known as the lead singer of Staind, a band responsible for several major rock hits. Over the years, however, he developed a strong identity as a country artist, building a solo career around personal songwriting and a distinctly traditional country sound.
His latest country album, Give My Country Back, recently reached No. 1 on the iTunes Country Album Chart, adding another milestone to his evolving musical career.
His journey also demonstrates how creative gifts can develop in unexpected directions. Romans 12:6 teaches that people have different gifts according to the grace given to them. Lewis has continued using his musical abilities across different genres and stages of his career.
An Evening of Honest Songs
The Acoustic Origins Tour is expected to emphasize Lewis’ voice and songwriting rather than elaborate production. That simplicity may allow audiences to focus more closely on the words, melodies, and stories that have shaped his musical journey.
For concertgoers, the Lafayette performance offers an opportunity to slow down and experience music in a setting centered on authenticity and personal connection. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that words carry power, and throughout history, songwriters have used words to tell stories, express struggles, celebrate victories, and connect people across generations.

From his beginnings with Staind to his continued success in country music, Lewis’ career reflects the power of music to evolve while remaining rooted in personal stories.
For the Acadiana community, November 11 promises to be an evening of acoustic music, memories, and storytelling inside one of Lafayette’s largest entertainment venues.
