The Sky Will Be Filled with Wonder: Zachary Really Hot Air Balloon Festival Returns for a Second Year

The city of Zachary is set to witness a magnificent spectacle as the 2nd Annual Zachary Really Hot Air Balloon Festival returns to the BREC Zachary Community Park on Saturday, August 10, from 12-9 p.m. This family-friendly event promises to captivate hearts and minds with a vibrant array of balloons filling the sky, a reminder of the beauty of creation as stated in Psalm 19:1, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

A Day of Fun for All Ages

Festivalgoers of all ages are invited to enjoy an array of activities that will create lasting memories. From live music and games to face painting and food trucks, the festival offers something for everyone. In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” The spirit of joy and togetherness embodied by this event reflects the warmth and inclusivity of the community.

Tethered Balloon Rides: A Glimpse of the Heavens

For those seeking a unique experience, tethered balloon rides will be available at a cost of $15 for children under twelve and $20 for adults and children thirteen and up. These rides offer a rare opportunity to rise above the earth and gain a new perspective, echoing Isaiah 40:31, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. Weather Permitting, Early Morning Flight

Early risers can join before 6 a.m. to witness the balloons take flight at sunrise, weather permitting. As the sun rises and the balloons ascend, we are reminded of Lamentations 3:22-23, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
