A Community Comes Together
The town of Crowley is demonstrating the true spirit of compassion and unity as they unite to support Lisa Leger, an Arnaudville woman facing significant health challenges. Leger, who has battled illness following a tragic car accident a decade ago, urgently needs a generator to power her life-saving oxygen machine.
A Story of Resilience
Leger’s journey has been marked by unwavering strength and resilience. Despite the hardships she has endured, she continues to fight for her life. The constant threat of power outages poses a serious risk to her well-being, as her oxygen machine is essential for her survival.
A Call for Help
Leger’s plea for assistance has resonated deeply with the community. Neighbors from both St. Landry and Acadia parishes have stepped up to offer their support. The Crowley Fire Department, along with the Kiwanis and Rotary clubs, are organizing a fundraising event to raise the necessary funds for a new generator.
A Community-Wide Effort
Local businesses and residents have also joined the cause. The Crowley Fire Department will be hosting a jambalaya sale on September 5th, with all proceeds going directly towards Leger’s medical needs. The community’s outpouring of support is a testament to the power of compassion and the belief that no one should face such challenges alone.
A Prayer for Lisa
Heavenly Father, we lift up Lisa Leger in prayer, asking for Your healing touch upon her. May she find strength and courage as she continues to battle illness. We thank You for the compassionate hearts of the Crowley community, who have come together to offer their support. May Your blessings be upon them for their acts of kindness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
