Fred W. Davis, a Pittsburgh native, is a seasoned attorney with over 27 years of experience practicing law in Lafayette, Louisiana. A 1980 graduate of Duquesne University, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science, and a 1983 graduate of Loyola University Law School in New Orleans, Davis has built a respected career in transactional law, specializing in real estate closings, property law, successions, estate planning, and business advising. He has also served as “Of Counsel” with the law firm of Rabalais, Hanna and Hebert, further cementing his reputation as a trusted legal expert in his community.
A Passion for Teaching and Legal Education
In addition to his legal practice, Fred W. Davis has dedicated much of his career to educating the next generation of legal professionals. He has taught legal subjects at the university level for many years and is currently serving as an Instructor in Business Law in the Department of Marketing and Hospitality at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Davis also teaches Notary Public and Hospitality Law, sharing his expertise with students and aspiring professionals. His commitment to education was recognized when he was appointed by the Secretary of State to serve on the Senate sub-committee for Notary Education in 2008, showing his dedication to enhancing legal knowledge in the community.
