GOD’S GOODNESS IS OUR REFUGE
Nahum 1:7 reminds us, “The Lord is good, a stronghold in a day of distress; he cares for those who take refuge in him.” In a world filled with uncertainty and turmoil, these words bring deep comfort. God’s goodness is not a fleeting emotion—it is a steadfast truth that anchors us when the storms of life rage around us. When we seek shelter in Him, we find more than safety; we find peace that surpasses understanding.

A SHELTER WHEN TROUBLE COMES
In moments of distress—whether personal loss, fear, or confusion—God’s presence becomes our fortress. Psalm 46:1 echoes this truth: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” His goodness is not diminished by the chaos of the world; rather, it shines brighter in the darkness. Just as a child runs to a parent’s arms for safety, believers can run to the Lord, knowing that His care is unwavering and His protection sure. No matter how fierce the battle, His goodness guards our hearts.

HE CARES FOR THOSE WHO TRUST HIM
Nahum’s message was written in a time of national distress, yet it proclaimed hope in God’s character. Today, that same promise stands: the Lord knows and cares for His people. Proverbs 18:10 declares, “The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” God’s goodness isn’t distant—it is deeply personal, meeting us right where we are.
