The Power of His Word

“By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.” — Psalm 33:6 (NIV)

Daily Devotional – “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made

This verse reminds us just how powerful God’s word truly is. With only His voice — no tools, no effort, no struggle — the heavens came into being. Every star that lights up the night sky exists because God simply spoke. That same voice that created the universe is the one that speaks life, peace, and purpose into us today.

It’s easy to feel small in a world that’s so big. We face problems that seem too heavy or situations that feel beyond fixing. But Psalm 33:6 reminds us that the same God who breathed galaxies into existence is still speaking — and His word still carries creative, transforming power.

When you open Scripture or whisper a prayer, you’re connecting to the Creator who made everything out of nothing. His breath still brings order to chaos and light to darkness.

Today, pause and breathe. Remember that the One who spoke the stars into place is speaking into your life too. Trust His word — because if His breath can form the heavens, it can surely bring new life to your heart and hope to your situation.
