Billy Guilbeaux, owner of Twin’s Burgers and Sweets in Lafayette, is being praised after rescuing a small owl he found lying on the ground near his business. According to Guilbeaux, the owl appeared to be “hangin’ on to life.” Along with another man, Karl, Billy discovered the bird in an alley behind the business. Understanding the owl needed warmth and protection, the men carefully placed it in a box to help stabilize it before transporting it to Lafayette Veterinary Clinic.
