LAFAYETTE, La. — Christians across Acadiana are being reminded of the importance of spending intentional time with God amid the busyness and distractions of everyday life. Drawing from Amos 3:3 and Genesis 3:9, faith leaders say believers are called not only to walk in agreement with God, but also to maintain a consistent relationship with Him through prayer, worship, and reading scripture.

Amos 3:3 asks, “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” Pastors say the verse reflects the importance of spiritual alignment with God’s will and the need to make time daily for fellowship with the Lord.

Many believers acknowledge that modern life can become crowded with responsibilities, entertainment, work, and constant distractions that often leave little room for quiet moments with God. Church leaders say people sometimes unintentionally neglect the very relationship that gives life meaning, peace, and direction.
