God’s Power Over Every Circumstance
“Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve You.” (Psalm 119:91, NIV)
The Bible reminds us that God’s sovereignty reaches every corner of creation. Nothing escapes His rule, and nothing happens beyond His control. From the rising of the sun to the details of our daily lives, God reigns supreme. Luke 17 recounts the story of ten men with leprosy who cried out for mercy. Jesus healed them all, yet only one returned to give thanks—loudly proclaiming his gratitude. His praise echoed the truth that God’s authority deserves our acknowledgment and thanksgiving.

Recognizing God’s Hand in Our Journey
As believers, we are called to trust that every step of our journey is guided by the Lord. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, “We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.” Life may not always unfold as we expect, but God’s sovereignty ensures that nothing is wasted. Even when we face confusion or disappointment, He is still working for our good (Romans 8:28). His control is not limited to blessings—it extends even through trials, transforming pain into purpose.

Sovereignty in Suffering
When tragedy or hardship strikes, it can be difficult to believe that God remains in control. Yet Scripture assures us that He does. Jeremiah declared, “I know, LORD, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course” (Jeremiah 10:23, NLT). God’s sovereignty means that everything—good or bad—ultimately serves His divine plan. The psalmist’s words echo this unshakable truth: “Everything serves your plans.” (Psalm 119:91, NLT)

A Prayer of Surrender
Sovereign Lord, we thank You that nothing is beyond Your control. Teach us to trust Your hand even when we cannot see Your plan. Strengthen our faith to rest in Your wisdom, knowing that all things serve Your divine purpose. In Jesus’ name, amen.
