Pig butchering scams often target individuals through social media or dating apps. Fraudsters cultivate relationships, posing as potential love interests or friendly figures. They then introduce the victim to supposedly lucrative crypto investment opportunities. The scam unfolds like this:

1. Gaining Trust: The scammer builds a connection, showering the victim with affection or flattery. They might share personal stories or even fake financial success.
2. Planting the Seed: Casually, the scammer mentions their “expertise” in crypto trading and the incredible returns they’ve achieved.
3. The “Perfect” Platform: The scammer introduces a fake or compromised crypto exchange platform, promising high yields. Initial investments see small, fake returns to build trust.
4. The Slaughter: Encouraged by the apparent success, the victim invests more heavily. Suddenly, “unexpected regulations” or technical issues arise, making withdrawal impossible. The scammer may pressure the victim to invest even more to “fix” the problem.

Guarding Your Crypto with Christian Values:
